Annia, moved to the United Kingdom from Cuba in 1998 and has lived in Greater Manchester ever since.
Having previously been at university in Cuba where she was completing an English teaching degree, Annia opted to pursue a completely new career in the UK, two years after the birth of her daughter. She then studied Podiatry Medicine at the University of Salford and qualified with a First-class Honours degree.
She has achieved a substantial amount of experience and skills in the identification of chronic diseases of the lower limb, as well as delivering podiatry care and treatment plans to a variety of patients both low and high risk to improve their health and wellbeing.

She has a particular interest in the musculoskeletal component of the lower limb and has spent the last few years focusing on musculoskeletal injuries during sports, particularly cycling.
Annia has been a keen cyclist for over 5 years and has participated in a range of fundraising events in support of the Macmillan Cancer Research group.
Cycling inspired her dissertation topic in her last year of study, connecting her understanding of the musculoskeletal aspect of the foot to that of the biomechanics behind cycling.
Before embarking on a career in podiatry, Annia spent 15 years running her own business working as a foot and nail care specialist including 5 years as the owner of her own nail salon.
