Grace Norcross: Podiatrist

Grace graduated with a BSc in Podiatry from the University of Salford, in addition to her role at Cheshire Foot Clinic she is a member of the Podiatry Team at East Cheshire NHS Trust, where her responsibilities include:

  • Treatment and management of high-risk patients
  • Nail surgery and administration of local anesthetics
  • Domiciliary visits for high-risk patients
  • Treating nail and skin disorders of the foot
  • Carrying out lower limb neurological and vascular assessments
  • Biomechanical/Musculoskeletal assessment and treatment
  • Following referral pathways and NICE (National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence) guidance

Grace’s particular areas of interest are:

Management of the high-risk foot, specifically the psychological impact of wounds, their healing and management, and Dementia care. Prior to working as a podiatrist Grace worked in the care sector, looking after individuals with wide ranging needs. She further training in Dementia care and has developed skills in assessment and care of patients and families impacted by Dementia.

In her spare time Grace loves looking after her multiple animals at home including a dog and two cats, her favourite pet is a long-haired hamster named Dinky.
