A podiatrist is a medical specialist who diagnoses and treats conditions affecting the feet, ankles, and lower limbs. They also provide preventive care and advice on foot health.
No referral is necessary. You can book an appointment directly with us.
Please bring a list of any medications you’re taking, relevant medical history, and your usual footwear. If you’re coming about a specific pain or problem, bring any orthotics or insoles you currently use.

Absolutely. We offer comprehensive diabetic foot care, including regular checks, treatment of routine foot problems and advice on preventing complications.
We strongly believe that care of diabetic foot wounds belongs in the NHS with your multi-disciplinary team, so if you think you have a foot ulcer please contact your GP urgently for referral and care.
Most podiatry treatments are painless or cause only minor discomfort. We always aim to make your visit as comfortable as possible. We always do our best to put our patients at ease but please tell us if you are nervous.
A typical initial consultation lasts up to 35 minutes, depending on your condition. Follow-up appointments may vary depending on your problem and treatment plan. We allow an hour for a Biomechanical Assessment.
Many private health insurance plans cover podiatry services. If you intend to claim for your treatment it is your responsibility to check with your provider and gain their agreement before you attend. We can issue receipts for you to send to them for reimbursement.
You can book an appointment by using our online booking form, calling us directly or sending an enquiry through our contact page.
Please visit our Contact Page for location details, directions, and parking information.
We follow strict hygiene protocols and infection control standards to ensure patient safety. If you have symptoms of illness, please contact us before attending.
During an initial appointment we assess your general and foot health and aim to provide a diagnosis of the problem. We will start treatment for straightforward problems like corns, calluses and verrucae on the day. We may need more time and follow-up appointment(s) for more complex issues and musculoskeletal problems.
We recommend a Biomechanical Assessment for patients with musculoskeletal foot pain that has been going on for more than 6 weeks. During the assessment we will examine your legs and feet sitting, lying and standing, we will also watch you walking and/or running. We may carry out tests on muscles, ligaments, tendons and nerves, video you doing several different exercises and ask you to walk/run across a specially designed pressure plate.
Most problems that are going to get better without treatment will have been healed by the body within 6 weeks. Those issues that are not getting better or are worsening may become chronic and require diagnosis and treatment.
If a patient has pain or has had problems for a significant amount of time, has had unsuccessful treatment or the type of treatment given is dependent on a confirmed diagnosis.
A podiatrist is considered more skilled than a chiropodist. Chiropodists are generally thought of as treating corns and hard skin, whilst a podiatrist may have further training and carry out minor surgery and use anaesthetic and other types of injection.
An initial appointment is £68 or a Biomechanical Assessment is £177.
