Joanne Farrell: Podiatrist BSc (Hons), MRCPod

Joanne, or Jo to you and I, studied Podiatry at the University of Salford, qualifying in 2012. She gained many years experience as a Community Podiatrist in Liverpool for Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust before joining us at Cheshire Foot Clinic in 2023.

Jo has been a competitive athlete since she was very young. She is a competitive swimmer and triathlete so she understands first-hand the importance of being injury free when wanting to perform at your best. Since Jo joined us she has worked hard to develop her clinical expertise in musculoskeletal podiatry, and she has a particular interest in sports and running injury rehabilitation, and the female athlete.  Her general practice covers all aspects of podiatric care, including:

  • General podiatry and routine foot care
  • Nail surgery and management of ingrowing toenails
  • Biomechanical assessments
  • Neurological and vascular assessments
  • Diabetic foot assessments
  • Managements of high-risk feet
  • Verrucae treatments
  • Management and treatment of fungal nails
